Mission Statement

The Southern Medical Journal is a publication devoted to continuing medical education and is directed toward practicing physicians and surgeons. Articles span the spectrum of medical topics, providing timely, up-to-the-minute information for primary care physicians and specialists alike. Contributors include leaders in the health care field, not just from the South, but from across the country and around the world. It is the official journal of the Southern Medical Association.
