A 58-year-old woman with a history of asthma presents to the emergency department with an asthmatic exacerbation. Prominent wheezes can be heard. Her chest radiograph does not show any infiltrates. She is treated with fluids, intravenous prednisone, nebulizers, and inhalers. Her heart rate is rapid and a 12-lead ECG is obtained.
