Dyslipidaemia and high level of CRP are associated with a significantly increased risk of CVD. Data pooled in this review showed that metformin, atorvastatin, saxagliptin, rosiglitazone and pioglitazone have significant effects by reducing the mean CRP, TC, TGs, HDL-C and LDL-C. Therefore, these agents could potentially reduce cardiovascular risk associated with PCOS.
