The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published its 'Suspected cancer: recognition and referral’ guideline to help clinicians identify children, young people, and adults with symptoms that could be caused by cancer.
The guideline covers appropriate initial investigations, who should be referred on for a specialist opinion, and how to help people understand what they can expect if they have symptoms suggestive of cancer.
