Conclusions

ED continues to be a common problem in men without an optimal solution, and for those without insurance or limited resources, treatment options may be priced out of reach. Many advances have been made in the past 50 years, and hopefully, better and more treatments will be available in the future. Ultimately, men want to be able to have sexual relations without delay with minimal effort or thought. Current therapies have yet to provide what men really want in ED treatment: an on-demand erection when needed that stays firm throughout sexual relations and replicates a natural erection.
