How Do You Feel About the ROS?

The "review of systems" has been a required portion of a patient's history-taking since 1995, when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued new documentation guidelines for clinical evaluation and management.

Considered by some to be a useful screening tool that uncovers symptoms patients might not think to share, for others it's simply too much information and a waste of valuable time.

So which is it? And is it time to rethink the ROS?
