The General Medical Council (GMC) has updated its guidance on gaining patient consent. Currently in draft format, the guidance is designed to help doctors with the complex practical challenges that surround consent good practice.

The updated guidance has been created following feedback from the profession, and aims to assist doctors in how they can best work with patients to make decisions about their care.

How might this change how you establish consent from your patients? Test your knowledge in our UK consent quiz.
