Lyme disease (Lyme borreliosis) is spread by ticks – that live in grassy areas and woodland - and can occur anywhere in the UK. The disease was first noted in England and Wales in the 1980s, having been recognised in mainland Europe for many years prior to this.

In February 2019 the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) issued a new guideline to clinicians to give more clarity on how to diagnose Lyme disease and provide early treatment.

Do you know what to look for, and the treatment to initiate? Test your knowledge with this quick quiz.
