A 54-year-old woman who swims on a regular basis presents to her primary care provider for a routine physical examination. She has no cardiac history and has no complaints. The only medication she takes is a beta-blocker for migraine headaches. Because her pulse is irregular, a 12-lead ECG is obtained.
