Setting

The study setting was an ICU located in a major tertiary hospital providing support to cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, general medical, and trauma patients in Melbourne, Australia. Participants were recruited from the ICU health care workforce of 18 permanent medical intensivists, 26 medical registrars, and 188 permanent critical care nurses.
