Methods

This study involved an interpretative, qualitative inquiry framework. A semistructured focus-group format was used, with 9 questions asked that were aimed at enabling participants to engage in reflective dialogue about providing EOL care in the ICU. Ethics approval for the study was obtained for the participating hospital.
