The interest in hip arthroscopy and femoroacetabular impingement surgery has increased significantly over the past decade or more. Recent data suggest that there are several factors that can lead to failure in the surgical treatment of femoroacetabular impingement. These factors include older age, presence of arthritic changes, longer duration of symptoms, and poorer preoperative pain and functional scores.[5]
