Overall, excellent clinical results following operative treatment of displaced acetabular fractures were seen about 40% of the time. These clinical results were most closely correlated to anatomic reduction of the articular surface. Although younger age, earlier mobilization, and prompt surgery are associated with improved functional outcomes, anatomic reduction is most closely correlated. Surgical approach does not have a significant impact upon clinical functional recovery.[3]
