Epidemiology

In the United States, FTD affects an estimated 20,000–30,000 people, with prevalence rates ranging from 15 to 22 per 100,000 in individuals between the ages of 45 and 65.[6] Sixty percent of FTD cases are diagnosed in individuals between the ages of 45 and 64, with an additional 10% presenting at < 45 years of age and 30% presenting at > 65 years of age.[6,7]
