Conclusion
There is evidence for family resilience after pediatric cancer in many domains of family functioning but there are subsets of families that may struggle with the challenges posed by pediatric cancer. Limitations in the current literature hamper strong conclusions regarding the overall impact of pediatric cancer on family resiliency. Further research conducted from the perspective of family resilience theory is needed to close gaps in the literature, refine family resilience models, and provide clear guidelines for integrating these data into clinical practice.
