Family History

The child's family history is significant for hypertension in the mother and type 2 diabetes in the father. The child's mother is 25 years old and appears to be of average weight. She currently takes no medication for her hypertension, which was diagnosed several years ago. The father appears to be moderately overweight. He is 27 years old and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year. He takes no medication. The parents have no medical information about other family members.
