Five-year View

Ideally, pharmacoeconomic studies should be incorporated into large multicenter clinical trials investigating the management of acute agitation in the ED to provide the clinical and economic data that allow definitive conclusions to be made on downstream economic and health consequences. It is envisaged that such studies will begin to emerge over the next few years.
