While this list stops conveniently at 10, it could go on. The point is that healthcare is being reformed not just by federal legislation and new regulations. It is changing at virtually every point of interaction that physicians have: between physicians and their patients, physicians and their peers, physicians and other clinicians, physicians and hospitals, physicians and technology, physicians and payers...the list goes on.

Take stock of what changes are happening most immediately in your region, but don't ignore the changes occurring in other regions. Hurricanes can be unpredictable in the track they take and the pace in which they move; the same can be said for the pace, location, and form in which change occurs in healthcare. It's hurricane season in healthcare; be sure you are prepared.
