Pharmacists who participate in disaster-relief efforts require specialized skills that will help them provide rapid and effective pharmaceutical care during a disaster. Defining the pharmacist's role during such events, providing training programs, and establishing force-management guidelines enable pharmacists to perform their specific duties effectively during an emergency-response operation.
