Conclusion
An orbital dermoid cyst is a common lesion of the periorbital region that results from the entrapment of ectodermal elements at fetal suture lines during embryogenesis. Caution must be exercised for medial and deeply located lesions because the differential diagnosis is broad and intracranial extension may be present. Management focuses on complete surgical excision without rupture.
