Treatment
In the operating room, the patient was placed under general anesthesia and the hymen was incised to allow drainage. After the hymenotomy was performed, the vaginal vault was irrigated with bacitracin and saline. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was able to be discharged to home the following day.
