The present state of research regarding NA in ambulant medication-based thrombosis prophylaxis after major orthopedic surgeries can be described as rudimentary. Only six relevant publications were identified. First indications of the extent of NA are available, but concerning the causes of NA and associated starting points for adherence intervention, there is as yet no conclusive evidence.
