The NCCN guidelines for adult cancer pain are a much appreciated clinical resource for clinicians who manage the unique challenges of cancer pain. The downside of guidelines is that they can become outdated, and it is a distinct advantage that the NCCN guidelines are frequently updated by experts in the field to reflect the latest evidence in pain management and pain-relief agents.
