Classification of Pigmented Lesions in Asians
Pigmented lesions can be classified according to the location of the pigment deposits. Pigmentation can occur in the epidermis, dermis, or both the epidermis and dermis (see Table 1). This important classification allows for the appropriate selection of laser wavelengths in treatment considerations.
