Nursing Measures
The patient should be encouraged to avoid prolonged periods of heavy perspiration or exposure to heat, humidity, and sun. The nurse should also caution against taking hot showers or baths or soaking in water for extended periods. The patient may need to be taught how to properly apply the occlusive plastic wrap after the application of topical medication. Since Grover disease is associated with hematologic malignancies in approximately 8% of cases, it is important that follow up include the ruling out of other disorders.
