Management of Intermediate Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Transarterial chemoembolization prolongs survival in patients with intermediate tumors and is the primary therapy for these patients. There are some data suggesting a possible role for drug-eluding beads and 90Y radioembolization in select patients.
