Availability and Cost

Adenosine is available as Adenocard® (Astellas Pharma US, Inc.) and as a generic product from several manufacturers. It is available in a 3 mg/mL concentration in both 2 mL and 4 mL preservative-free prefilled syringes and vials. Adenosine should be stored at room temperature. Refrigeration will result in crystal formation.[3,4] The average wholesale price (AWP) of adenosine injection is approximately $14 for a 2 mL vial and $35 to $40 for a prefilled syringe. The AWP is $28 for a 4 mL vial and $78 for a 4 mL prefilled syringe.[22]
