Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Less is known about this more toxic treatment option, personal communication (GvHD) being a known complication. Three cases are reported, all receiving a reduced intensity nonmyeloablative HSCT.[16,21] In two, a successful response was seen and in a third, TRM occurred at about 1 year from complications relating to acute GvHD. A multidisciplinary consensus group recently published guidelines for allogeneic HSCT in autoimmune disease in general.
