Nicotine Patch for the Prevention of Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting

Conclusion

Use of a nicotine patch may reduce the incidence of PONV after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. No significant differences between the nicotine patch group and the smoking group in the incidence of PONV were seen in our study.
