Follow up and referral

  1. Follow up on any abnormal laboratory tests that indicate an underlying medical problem.

  2. Return visits should be scheduled after 2 to 3 cycles to assess treatment success.

  3. Consult with and/or refer to a gynecologist or endocrinologist with an expertise in PMS/PMDD as indicated, or when treatment therapies are unsuccessful.(Endicott and Harrison 2006)
