We performed a retrospective review of pediatric patients, ages 0 to 18 years, with the diagnosis of cerebral palsy in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center child neurology clinics. This review covered the period from January 1, 2000, until December 31, 2003. Case ascertainment was accomplished by means of a chart review of patients who became ambulatory after initiating treatment with modafinil for cerebral palsy. The dose of modafinil, type of cerebral palsy, and degree of disability were noted.
