Management of oral anticoagulation requires attention and common sense. Most situations can be handled with little or no interruption of therapy. Even if ximelagatran is ultimately approved, it will not completely replace warfarin due to anticipated limitations of indications, as well as the greater experience and data with warfarin.[32]
