Clinical Course and Outcome

Our patient was started on 30 mg/day of prednisone and within 2-3 weeks had resolution of his abdominal pain and reduction of his submandibular gland swellings. Repeat MRI of his abdomen 6 weeks after initiation of steroid therapy showed a reduction in the size of the pancreas and a decrease in biliary ductal dilatation (Figures 14 and 15).
