Introduction
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Baraclude (entecavir) tablets and oral solution for use in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults. Entecavir is a guanosine nucleoside analogue with selective activity against HBV.
