HSIL

Women with HSIL Pap results have a 70% to 75% chance of underlying moderate to severe CIN and a 1% to 2% chance of invasive cervical cancer. Due to such high risk, these patients should be referred for immediate colposcopy. Repeat cytology and HPV testing are not indicated for assessment following an initial cytologic report of HSIL.
