Conclusion
In the context of cardiovascular disease, ensuring that patients receive appropriate assessment and treatment of their lipid levels represents an important component of clinical care. While it is possible to implement dyslipidemia management strategies without a complete understanding of the scientific basis of dyslipidemic disorders, there may be further opportunities to optimize care if a broader scope of scientific knowledge is utilized.
