Introduction

At the World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2001 -- 61st International Congress of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), a featured symposium focused on international cooperation between academicians and practitioners. The success stories presented had 2 separate geographic foci: the southern portion of India, where clinical pharmacy education programs are being developed in selected cities through a humanitarian Western link in Australia, and South Africa, which is in need of an international partner so that the pharmaceutical care model in Durban can be elevated.
