Impact of ADR Reporting Program at Northeast Health

The surveillance of ADRs has resulted in evaluation and modification of the medication-use system at Northeast Health and has helped to improve quality of care. Northeast Health is a regional, comprehensive, not-for-profit network of healthcare and community services comprised of The Eddy (nursing home care, home care, adult day care, rehabilitation care, retirement living communities), Troy, New York, and 2 acute care institutions, Albany Memorial Hospital (165 licensed beds), Albany, New York, and Samaritan Hospital (238 licensed beds), Troy, New York. Table 3 lists the improvements in practice that are directly related to evaluation of the ADR monitoring program.
