Other Agents

Many other agents have shown efficacy in the treatment of RAU, either in anecdotal cases or in single clinical trials. These agents include acyclovir, azelastine, azathioprine, interferon alfa, prostaglandin E 2 gel, colchicine, sucralfate, and cyclosporine.[1] Because of the number of potential therapeutic options and the unpredictable course of RAU, this review was limited to medications studied in at least two double-blind, placebo-controlled trials.
