Case Presentation

A 47-year-old man who had undergone a polypectomy 1 year previously underwent follow-up colonoscopy. While looking for polyps in the right colon, a small, white worm with a rapid wriggling movement was observed (see Figures 1 and 2).

What is your diagnosis?

  1. This patient was diagnosed with Enterobius vermicularis infection (also known as "human pinworm," and previously as Oxyuris vermicularis infection).
