
Physicians' Choice: Top Hospitals 2017
Where you go for medical treatment can make a huge difference in the outcome of your illness or procedure. Physicians, more so than the general public, are in the position to know what makes a particular hospital, or a department within a hospital, a recommended place to get medical treatment. Through reading medical journals, attending scientific conventions, and talking with other clinicians, doctors often develop a sense of where they themselves would go for medical care. We felt that their opinions would be valuable to share.
Physicians' Choice: Top Hospitals 2017
Medscape identified nine clinical conditions and/or procedures and asked physicians:
"Suppose you or someone in your family were just diagnosed with a complex or difficult case of (condition). Assuming that there are no barriers (eg, transportation cost) to treatment at the hospital you prefer, what hospital would you choose for treatment?"
