During my residency, it was a challenge to find time to cook. After a long day or an especially stressful shift, making myself a meal felt like more trouble than it was worth. After one take-out dinner too many, I made the commitment to treating myself to a home-cooked meal as often as I could — bonus points if that meal lasted me through the week!
