Dr. Adashi, the immediate past Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences at Brown University, is the host of Medscape One-on-One. Harvard-educated in healthcare management, Dr. Adashi is a physician-scientist-executive with over 30 years of experience in healthcare and the life sciences.

A member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and its Board on Health Sciences Policy, the Association of American Physicians, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Dr. Adashi has lectured extensively, by invitation, both in the United States and abroad.

A recent Franklin fellow and Senior Advisor on Global Women's Health to the Secretary of State Office of Global Women's Issues, Dr. Adashi is a member of the Board of Directors of Physicians for Human Rights, a member of the Global Agenda Council on Population Growth of the World Economic Forum, chair of the Medical Executive Committee and the Medical Advisory Council of the Jones Foundation for Reproductive Medicine, and an advisor to the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
