Blood pressure medications have numerous adverse effects, which can include the following:

  • Hyperkalemia and acute kidney failure (ACE inhibitors, ARBs)

  • Hypotension

  • Bradycardia (beta-blockers)

  • Fatigue

  • Sedation (clonidine)

  • Electrolyte disturbances (diuretics)
