Anemia is common early in the disease and is primarily due to dilution, although in 2 instances, autoimmune hemolytic anaemia was documented in the early stages of APSGN. [41, 42] Anemia tends to resolve with diuresis. A few patients may have diminished erythropoiesis in the recovery phase and have some persisting anemia.
