Systemic signs are nonspecific and can include any combination of the following:

  • Apnea

  • Lethargy

  • Decreased peripheral perfusion

  • Shock (in advanced stages)

  • Cardiovascular collapse

  • Bleeding diathesis (consumption coagulopathy)
