Ultrasound (US) therapy has demonstrated modest pain reduction, [19, 23] although US- and color Doppler-guided intratendinous injections with polidocanol in the extensor origin have shown promising clinical results, [36] and there is insufficient evidence to support the use of transverse friction, soft-tissue therapy in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis.
