Answer

From January to June 2008, 131 cases of measles were reported to the CDC. [21] Although 90% of those 131 cases were associated with importation of the virus to the United States from overseas, 91% of those affected were unvaccinated or had unknown or undocumented vaccination status. At least 47% of the 131 measles infections were in school-aged children whose parents chose not to have them vaccinated. [21]
