Nodular lymphangitis commonly follows superficial inoculation with one of the following organisms:

  • Sporothrix schenckii

  • Nocardia brasiliensis

  • Mycobacterium marinum

  • Leishmania panamensis

  • L guyanensis

  • Francisella tularensis
