Answer

Gupta reported promising results with radiofrequency ablation and plication in the treatment of rectal prolapse, on the basis of a short operation time, a shorter hospitalization, less postoperative pain, faster wound healing, and a relatively low complication rate (9%, compared with a 23% complication rate for ligature and excision). [79] This procedure seems to be safe and effective.
